Paddle Serving Board - Guanacaste

These boards are made out of Guanacaste, a species of Caro Caro from Costa Rica. The characteristics of this wood lend itslf to having extremly dark portions married with bright yellow sections. Guanacaste is a really cool, "rusitc" looking wood even when sanded to perfection. What may appear to be burn marks from cutting or sanding are actually the intense dark spots inherent in the wood. We love it for serving boards but it should not be used as a cutting board for meats due to the pourous nature.
